Attio integration
Joltuar connects to your Attio workspace, so the Joltuar Assistant can look things up in Attio and, when you ask, write your call notes, tasks and record updates back there.
The connection is personal. Each person connects their own Attio account, and the assistant acts in Attio as that person, with that person's Attio permissions. Connecting Attio does not connect it for your colleagues: each of them connects their own account.
What it does
Once you're connected, Attio becomes a tool source for the Assistant: the chat panel, the chat on a meeting, the Deal Agent, and workflows.
Look things up. Search people, companies and deals. Read a record's details, its notes, comments and tasks. List the entries in a list or pipeline. Search your meetings, call recordings and e-mails in Attio. Run simple reports such as "count open deals by stage".
Write on request. Create or update records, add a record to a list, move a list entry to another stage, add a note or a comment, and create or update tasks. Every change shows you a confirmation card first, so nothing is written to Attio silently from chat.
Workflows. Mention
@Attioin a workflow's instructions, for example "after each call, add the summary as a note on the company in @Attio". Approving the workflow's plan is your consent to the Attio changes it lists. A workflow always runs with its author's Attio connection, so only the author can approve a plan that uses Attio — a workspace admin who edits your workflow can't approve it on your behalf. Merging records and deleting comments can never be part of a workflow.Your Attio deals in Deals. When a workspace owner or admin connects Attio, Joltuar brings the deals from their Attio Deals pipeline into the Deals screen, so calls, files and the Deal Agent can hang off them — see "Deals from Attio" below.
Some Attio features depend on your Attio plan (for example, SQL queries). If your plan doesn't include one, the assistant simply won't offer it.
Who can connect
Anyone in the Joltuar workspace, for their own account: no owner or admin role is needed. The assistant can see and change only what your Attio account can see and change. When a colleague uses the assistant, it uses their Attio connection, never yours.
Connect Attio
- In Joltuar, open your account menu (bottom of the sidebar) and choose Integrations.
- Find the Attio card and click Connect your Attio account.
- Attio's own authorization screen opens in your browser. Sign in to Attio if asked, then approve access for Joltuar.
- When the page says Attio connected, close the tab and go back to Joltuar. The card now shows "Connected as
<your Attio e-mail>".
If you belong to several Joltuar workspaces, connect Attio separately in each one where you want to use it.
Deals from Attio
When a Joltuar workspace owner or admin connects Attio, Joltuar pulls the deals of their Attio Deals object — the one Attio's Pipeline view shows — into the Deals screen. It then keeps them current: every time an owner or admin who connected Attio opens Deals (at most every 15 minutes), and when they click sync. Deals are shared with the whole Joltuar workspace, which is why only an owner or admin's connection brings them in; a member's Attio connection works for them in the assistant, but doesn't change the workspace's Deals.
Each Attio deal becomes one Deal in Joltuar, with:
- its name, stage (the Attio pipeline's columns) and status — a deal in your Won stage is shown as won, one in Lost as lost;
- its value in the deal's currency, and an expected close date if your Deals object has one;
- its owner, shown as the matching Joltuar colleague when their e-mail is the same in both tools;
- its company: the company's name, and its web domain, which Joltuar uses to suggest the right Deal for a call;
- your other Deals attributes (for example a segment, a checkbox or a number) as fields, which the Deal Agent can fill in from your calls.
The name, stage, value, owner and status stay managed in Attio: to change them, change them in Attio, and Joltuar follows. Fields are different — when a field's value changes in Joltuar, Sync with CRM on the Deal writes it back to Attio.
A few things to know:
- The deals Joltuar sees are the ones the connecting owner's or admin's Attio user can see. Everyone in the Joltuar workspace sees them, like deals from any other CRM.
- Sync with CRM writes to Attio with your own Attio connection, so connect your account first if you want to push field values.
- Attio lists (for example "Design Partners") are not brought in — only the Deals object.
- If a deal with the same name already exists in Joltuar, it is linked to the Attio deal instead of creating a second one.
What data flows, and in which direction
Attio → Joltuar (read, only while the assistant answers you): the records, lists, notes, comments, tasks, meetings, call recordings and e-mails your Attio account can access, and only the parts the assistant asks for to answer your question.
Attio → Joltuar (Deals): the deals of your Attio Deals object with their stage, value, owner, company (name and domain) and attributes, kept in your Joltuar workspace's Deals.
Joltuar → Attio (write, only after you confirm the change in chat, or after you approve a workflow's plan): records, list entries, notes, comments, tasks and lists. Sync with CRM on a Deal writes that Deal's changed field values to the Attio deal.
Disconnect
From Joltuar: go to Integrations → Attio → Disconnect. This removes your Attio connection from Joltuar right away. It never affects your colleagues' connections.
From Attio: you can also revoke Joltuar's access in your Attio account settings. Joltuar notices the next time the assistant tries to use Attio. It then asks you to connect again, and the card goes back to "not connected".
Troubleshooting
- The Attio card isn't there. Attio is being rolled out workspace by workspace. Ask your Joltuar contact to enable it for your workspace.
- "Attio is not answering right now." Attio didn't respond in time. Try again in a moment.
- "The Attio connection expired." Your access was revoked or expired in Attio. Click Connect your Attio account again.
- "Attio rate limit reached." Attio limits how many requests a workspace can make per second. Wait a moment, then ask again.
- My Attio deals don't show up in Deals. Deals only come from Attio's Deals object. If your Attio workspace doesn't use it, turn it on in Attio → Settings → Objects, then click Connect your Attio account again to pull right away. Also check that your Attio user can see the deals, and that you are an owner or admin of the Joltuar workspace.
